LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique on Sunday alleged that his constituency NA-131 was divided into three parts to ensure Imran Khan’s victory in the elections.

He was addressing a presser here in Lahore today.

Former railways minister apprised media personnel that nearly all political outfits had grave concerns pertaining to rigging in general elections.

Crying foul, Rafique stated that he had requested chief election commissioner to increase number of polling stations while adding that many stalwarts returned without casting vote owing to ‘extreme weather conditions’.

Rafique—who had lost to Khan in the closely contested elections—stated that party’s top brass will hold consultative meeting in a while.

“Imran Khan has announced to reopen those constituencies where objections are being raised by the candidates”, asserted Saad Rafique.

Responding to a question on PML-N’s candidate for Punjab chief minister, Rafique replied that PML-N has not arrived at any decision in this regard yet. Taking a jibe at PTI leader Jahangir Tareen, Rafique asserted that it was PML-N’s democratic right to form government in the Punjab.

“Horse trading of MPAs [member of provincial assembly] is not a legitimate act”, stated Rafique.

It would be suffice here to say that Imran Khan has managed to retained victory in NA-131 in a recount carried on the petition lodged by Saad Rafique.
