NAB had summoned Shehbaz Sharif to probe into Punjab Power Development Company corruption scandal.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) president and former Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab Shehbaz Sharif on Monday has failed to appear before National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over the issue of Punjab 56 companies scandal.

NAB had summoned Shehbaz Sharif at 11am today, to probe into Punjab Power Development Company corruption scandal but he could not attend the hearing.

It is pertinent here to mention that Shehbaz Sharif has attended the hearing of alleged corruption twice before.

NAB has charged Shehbaz Sharif with corruption and for granting illegal privileges to favoured people.

Yesterday, Shehbaz Sharif had demanded transparent elections and proposed that the evidence be dispatched to forensic labs in Punjab in order to investigate technicalities.

He had expressed concern that the terrorist attacks may hamper the July 25 elections.
