The PML-N president was in Quetta to offer condolences for Mastung tragedy.

QUETTA (Dunya News) – Postponing his election activities, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif visited the family of Siraj Raisani and offered condolences for Mastung tragedy.

Talking to media, the former Punjab chief minister condemned the recent wave of terror attacks and expressed his support for the formation of a commission to investigate the attacks.

He proposed that the evidence be dispatched to forensic labs in Punjab in order to investigate technicalities. He also expressed concern that the attacks may hamper the July 25 elections.

Reiterating his demand for a "free and fair election", Shehbaz lashed out at the electoral commission over alleged favouritism.

"Elections without transparency would be disastrous. That’d be equal to a tragedy. The caretaker government in Punjab should not favour PTI. No wrong precedent should be set," he said.
