The petitioner prayed the apex court to declare the LHCs verdict null and void

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Khadija Siddiqui, the medical student who was stabbed at least 23 times on Lahore’s Davis Road, on Saturday filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the Lahore High Court (LHC) verdict of acquitting Shah Hussain, after giving him benefit of the doubt.

The petition was submitted by Barrister Salman Safdar on behalf of his client Khadija Siddiqui.

The petition stated that despite having evidence against Shah Hussain, the LHC acquitted Shah Hussain.

The petitioner prayed the apex court to declare the LHC’s verdict null and void and restore the sentence of the culprit.
