Luxury cars case: Fazlur Rehman, Abdul Ghafoor summoned in personal capacity

Additional Attorney General told court that luxury cars have been taken back from all the federal.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday has directed Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rehman, Kamran Michael and Senator Molana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri to appear in personal capacity in luxury cars case.

During the hearing, Additional Attorney General told the court that luxury cars have been taken back from all the federal ministers but Fazlur Rehman, Kamran Michael and Abdul Ghafoor have refused to follow the orders.

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar said that Fazlur Rehman also has double cabin car.

Earlier, CJP Mian Saqib Nisar had ordered candidates participating in general elections to not use official bullet proof cars for campaigns.

Additional Attorney General had submitted details of cars given to the officials working in federal cabinet and other government departments.

The top judge had clarified that money will be taken from those who bought these vehicles contrary to the law.
