PM Abbasi chairs National Security Committee meeting

The meeting has reviewed security arrangements on eastern and western borders of the country.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Meeting of the National Security Committee chaired by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to review national security and situation on country’s borders has been concluded today (Tuesday).

According to details, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Air and Naval chiefs and other ministers were present on the occasion.

Federal Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal and Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) were also attending the session.

The meeting has reviewed security arrangements on eastern and western borders of the country as well as in the region while it also discussed the process of implementation after the approval of FATA Reforms Bill.

The participants also talked on the matters related to Afghanistan and Kashmir.
