PM Abbasi summons NSC meeting today

The meeting will review security situation on eastern and western borders of the country.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has summoned a meeting of the National Security Committee today (Tuesday) to review national security and security situation on country’s borders, Dunya News reported.

The meeting will also review security situation on eastern and western borders of the country as well as in the region. The meeting will also review the process of implementation after the approval of FATA Reforms Bill.

Sources said that the Prime Minister will also address a press conference today and discuss matters relating to power projects. Federal Minister for Power will also be present in the press conference.

Prime Minister has also convened the Economic Coordination Committee meeting today in which recommendation of the committee formed in connection with the distribution of water in the provinces will be presented.

The Prime Minister had constituted a committee, headed by Attorney General for Pakistan and comprising one representative from each province, to look into the issues of availability of water and its distribution to the provinces.
