Court grants 3-day physical remand of Moonis

A local court on Friday granted a three-day physical remand of Moonis Elahi.

Moonis, who is allegedly involved in the National Insurance Company Limited (NICL), had surrendered himself to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Thursday after his bail application was rejected by the Lahore High Court. On Friday, the FIA presented him before the court and requested for an eight-day physical remand. The counsel for the accused submitted that Moonis had nothing to do with the NICL, therefore, there was no need to grant the physical remand. The court, however, handed over Moonis to the FIA on a three-day physical remand.
