Asfandyar Wali calls PTM's demands 'legitimate'
ANP chief demands early merger of FATA into KP
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Awami National Party (ANP) chief Asfandyar Wali has termed the demands of Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) “legitimate”.
“The government should hold dialogue with PTM. We will also hold with them if need arises,” Asfandyar Wali said while addressing a ceremony at the Bacha Khan Centre, Peshawar.
He demanded early merger of FATA into KP. He said that provincial and the federal government would be responsible if due representation was not given to tribal areas in KP Assembly.
He said that the ECP was requested to complete delimitation in KP; however, they said that it was a time-taking process.
The ANP chief said that “unnatural” division could not separate people of KP and FATA. He added that no movement could become successful without women.
