Ahsan Iqbal shifted to Services Hospital for surgical treatment
Ahsan Iqbal has been shifted from Narowal to Lahores Services Hospital for surgical treatment.
LAHORE (APP) - Federal Interior Minister Prof Ahsan Iqbal has been shifted to the Services Hospital here on Sunday night for surgical treatment from Narowal.
The minister was brought here through a helicopter, and later shifted to the hospital by an ambulance.
However, the security outside and inside the hospital has been beefed up to provide foolproof security cover, whereas additional police personnel equipped with modern weapons and equipment have also been deployed at the hospital.
Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also reached the Services Hospital to monitor the health arrangements.
Meanwhile, talking to the media outside the hospital, Provincial Minister Zaeem Hussain Qadri strongly condemned the attack on Ahsan Iqbal and said the accused had been arrested, whereas further investigation was underway.
He said: “Ahsan Iqbal is out of danger and the bullet will be removed through a surgical operation which is being conducted”.
It is to mention that Federal Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal received bullet injuries in the attack when he was addressing the corner meeting in Narowal.
