Nine fall prey to Quetta killing spree

Nine people were killed and 11 other were wounded in three separate firing incidents in Quetta.
QUETTA (Dunya News) - Bloodbath continues in Quetta as nine people, including a levies personnel, were shot dead in different parts of the provincial capital on Monday, Dunya News reported.
According to details, some unidentified persons opened fire at a rickshaw at the Arbab Karam Khan Road and killed four people including rickshaw driver Pervaiz and his wife Firdous. A minor girl named Sehar was wounded in the attack.
Rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the dead and injured to Civil Hospital Quetta.
Member of National Assembly Khalil George Francis also reached the hospital after the incident. Talking to meida, Khalil George said that rickshaw driver Pervaiz was taking his two brothers-in-law to railway station who came to Quetta from Lahore to celebrate Easter.
Earlier, a van, travelling from Khajoori area of Machh to Quetta was intercepted by a group of people and the two parties entered an argument that led to gunfire.
The incident claimed life of levies personnel named Naveed and locals named Abdul Hameed, Ghulam Rasool and Bashir. The gunfire injured as many as ten persons in the van.
Police arrived at the attack site and shifted the bodies and the wounded to Civil Hospital and BMC.
Half an hour after the incident, a local named Muhammad Azam was gunned down on Sibbi Road prompting police to launch a search operation.
