Light and heavy rainfall at different places also affected the flow of traffic causing delay for the people to reach their offices and schools.
Besides Lahore, rain also lashed Kasur, Khanewal and other cities of Punjab. Light rain also occurred in some locations of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Met Office says that the rain spell will continue till the night. A westerly wave is affecting central parts of the country and may persist till Wednesday.
Mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Hazara, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi divisions, Islamabad, FATA and Kashmir.
