659 employees of PIA found holding fake degrees
Minister of aviation submitted written reply in the parliament.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – It was learnt during the scrutiny process of educational record of Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) employees that 659 individuals had submitted fake degrees during the selection process.
It was informed to lower house of the parliament by minister of aviation in the written reply. The minister told House that 391 individuals have been removed, 251 are waiting for their cases to be heard while investigation against 17 are underway.
The House was also informed that PIA inflicted a loss of Rs43.65 bn on the national exchequer.
On the other hand, officials of the Pakistan Railways informed that at least 1184 acres of department’s land has been recovered.
