Rangers official martyred in grenade attack in Karachi

Militants hurled a hand grenade at Rangers in Karachi on Tuesday, martyring one official.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - A Rangers official embraced martyrdom while three other sustained injuries when terrorists hurled a hand grenade at them in Lyari area of Karachi on Tuesday.

According to a Rangers spokesperson, Rangers officials were on a routine patrol in Ali Muhammad Muhalla in Lyari when some militants hurled a hand grenade at them, martyring one official and wounding three others.

The deceased Rangers official was identified as Fawad. The injured officials were rushed to Civil Hospital Karachi.

The spokesman further informed that one terrorist was also killed when Rangers opened fire in retaliation. The spokesman also informed that a hand grenade and a 9mm pistol was recovered from the dead terrorist.
