Attempt to attack Imran Khan with shoe thwarted, accused arrested

(FAISALABAD) – It seems public wrath against the country’s political politburo is touching a new high as an attempt to attack Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan with show was thwarted on Sunday here in Faisalabad.
The accused has been identified as Ramzan and handed over to police. Civil Line Police station has shifted Ramzan to an unidentified location for further investigation.
Commenting on the unpleasant incident, PTI’s leader Farrukh Habib termed the incident as an attempt of revenge for incident at Jamia Naeemia where Nawaz Sharif was attacked with a shoe.
Earlier today, Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) founder Nawaz Sharif was attacked with shoe at Jamia Naeemia.
Nawaz Sharif had gone to the religious seminary to participate in a ceremony. While he reached rostrum to address the gathering, a middle-aged bearded man threw shoe at him and raised slogan.
In a similar incident in Sialkot, Pakistan’s foreign minister Kh Asif was subjected to ink attack. During workers’ convention, a person threw ink on the face of PMLN leader.
