Panama JIT misled judiciary: PML-N
Federal ministers Daniyal Aziz and Tariq Fazal Chaudhry held presser in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Speaking to a press conference in the capital, federal ministers Daniyal Aziz and Tariq Fazal Chaudhry told that the joint investigation team (JIT) to probe Panama case misled the judiciary.
The rulign Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders said the JIT couldn’t prove anything against the Sharif in six months and they have no factual evidence to support their claims.
Reacting to the Supreme Court’s decision to extend the trial of Nawaz Sharif in accountability court by two months, both ministers expressed disapproval. They criticised the PTI chief claiming that he issued “false accusations”.
The federal minister for Privatisation Aziz recalled that Imran Khan did not follow the top court’s orders during the 2014 sit-ins.
Nawaz’s appearance before the court to face trial is a proof that the PML-N respect courts, they argued.
