Four security officials embraced shahadat in the Quetta suicide blast

QUETTA (Dunya News) – A suicide blast rocked Quetta on Wednesday in which four personnel of Balochistan Frontier Corps (FC) positioned for security purposes were reported martyred.

According to initial reports, the blast was heard at a temporary check post of FC and Levies force in Khooni Talab area, near the jurisdiction of Nohsar. Seven other security officials were said to be injured after the blast. They have been admitted to the Quetta CMH. 

Sources told that a camp of FC was targeted by the terror groups. Four security officials embraced shahadat in the explosion while it was declared as a suicide blast later on. 

The names of martyred security personnel are Muhammad Rashid, Muhammad Amir, Muhammad Imran and Javed Ahmed.

Security forces have covered the affected area and launched a search operation in the area to find the perpetrators. 

Federal Minister for Interior Ahsan Iqbal strictly condemned the blast, directing authorities to provide medical treat to those injured. He lauded the efforts of security forces and saluted their courage and sacrifice for the country. “The nation stands with its security forces,” he announced. Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo also condemned the incident, promising to put an end to the menace of terrorism.

Earlier today, at least two policemen embraced martyrdom as unidentified motorcyclists opened fire at police vehicle in Quetta.
