CTD foils terror bid, arrests two militants in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD (Dunya News) - The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) foiled a terror bid and arrested two terrorists of banned organization during an operation in Faisalabad on Thursday, Dunya News reported.

According to details, CTD personnel conducted an operation near Khanu Anna Bypass at the Satiyana Road and arrested two terrorists. The arrested terrorists were identified as Aurangzaib of Khanewal and Abdur Rehman who belonged to Bahawalpur.

A CTD spokesperson informed that explosive material, four metre safety fuse and two detonators were recovered from arrested persons.

The spokesperson further said that the terrorists were planning to target sensitive installations in Faisalabad. The arrested terrorists were shifted to some undisclosed location for further investigation.
