Raymond Davis Case: Use of mobile and internet in jail challenged

The Lahore High Court in order to ban use of mobile and internet for Raymond Davis in the Kot Lakhpat Jail has written to the federal government demanding their clarification by the 14th of March.

Barrister Iqbal Jaffery sent an application which stated that there are 5000 prisoners in Kot Lakhpat Jail and all of them should be treated equally. Raymond Davis should not be given special treatment by allowing him the use of internet and a mobile phone.Officials of the US Embassy meet with Raymond Davis for hours even after the visiting hours, which is an unlawful act hence the court should question the federal government. The chief justice Lahore high court took the application under consideration and has given the federal government time till the 14th of March to provide clarification into the matter.
