Over three million deceased voters enlisted in new electoral rolls

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The credibility of the 2018 elections is likely to be severely affected after it was revealed that the new electoral rolls contain names of over three million deceased voters.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has said that the deceased voters are omitted from the voters list as per registered data and confirmed that the ECP has only included new voters in electoral rolls.
According to United Nations reports, over 3.7 million persons died in Pakistan during the past five years whereas the ECP has omitted only 0.7 million voters from the new lists.
