The dam to be made at a cost of Rs 3 billion will irrigate over 30,000 acres of barren land

NOWSHEHRA: (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak on Sunday inaugurated Maroba Dam. The dam will cost Rs 3 billion and irrigate over 30,000 acres of barren land, reported Dunya News.

While addressing the ceremony, Khattak said that making dams was vital since the climate change on the global level has caused decrease in the rainfall. He said that a road up to 8-10 kilometers will also be constructed alongside the dam.

The CM said that his Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party had created facilities for the people of the province through legislation. He told that schools and hospitals had been improved through reforms while the previous governments only filled their own bank accounts.

He added that the people of Nowshehra were intelligent enough to know which party had served them the most.
