Dense smog, fog blanket different cities of Punjab
Motorway section from Lahore to Sheikhupura has been closed due to thick smog and fog.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Dense smog and fog blanketed different cities of Punjab, including Lahore on night between Thursday and Friday, Dunya News reported.
The thick smog and fog also badly affected the flow of road traffic. According to a Motorway spokesman, the Motorway sections at various places were closed as visibility was down to zero. Similar situation exist at several places on the National Highway.
The Motorway police have appealed the drivers to use GT Road for travelling. They have also urged the drivers to drive slowly and switch on fog lights. The people have been requested to stay home and avoid unnecessary travelling.
People are suffering from throat and eye infections due to the smog. Met Office has predicted that the smog and fog will remain till the next few days however; there is no possibility of rainfall in the country.
