Political parties show concern over EVM system

The political parties of the country have showed concerns over the use of new Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) system in 2013 polls.

As per details, the Election Commission of Pakistan has given final briefing to political parties representatives over the implementation of an electronic voting machine system to ensure transparency in the electoral process. ECP Secretary Ishtiak Ahmed Khan said that the system has been working in India from last twenty years. On the other hand, political parties showed dissatisfaction over the system and said that the system should be tested in by-polls. They said the system would not successful in the country due to illiteracy and the people have no proper information about the use computer. They urged to test the system in by-polls.
