Khurshid Shah suggests govt to brief COAS on economy

Shah said clash between departments and state is dangerous for the country.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Opposition Leader in National Assembly (NA) Khurshid Shah on Saturday has said that the government should give briefing to Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on the economical situation in the country to remove his reservations.

Talking to media in Sukkur, Khurshid Shah said that the scuffle between lawyers and security personnel that erupted outside accountability court in Islamabad yesterday was deplorable and that proper investigation into the matter is required.

He said clash between departments and state is dangerous for the country as weak institutions frail the government as well.

Responding on Khatm-e-Naboowat issue, Shah advised the politicians to carefully handle the issue and referain from saying harsh words.

Earlier, Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal reacted to the statements given by Pakistan Army officials regarding deteriorating economical situation in the country, suggesting ISPR DG Major General Asif Ghafoor to avoid commenting on the economy in public.
