Karachi knife attacks: Police nab another suspect
Police also recovered paper cutter from the suspect who was arrest from Kaeachis Johar Chaorangi.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – One more suspect was taken into custody by police from Johar Chaorangi area of Karachi on Thursday for interrogation in a bid to arrest Karachi knife attacker who has so far stabbed 13 women.
Police sources said that a paper cutter was also recovered from the arrested person.
The arrested person was shifted to police station. The suspect informed police during interrogation that he is works as a cable operator and use the paper cutter in his routine work.
The attacks began late last month when a man on a motorcycle began sporadically wounding women walking on streets. CCTV footage of one attack shows the man stabbing a burqa-clad woman from behind and then fleeing.
Despite the announcement of a reward of Rs 500,000 for information leading to the attacker s arrest, police and other law enforcement agencies have had little success in ending the series of attacks which have spread fright among the women.
