(Web Desk) - Following the revival of international cricket in the country, Pakistan army in collaboration with Pakistan Cricket Board and Pakistan Super League’s franchise Peshawar Zalmi held Peace Cup 2017 – an exhibition cricket match between Pakistan XI and UK Media XI in Miranshah of North Waziristan Agency.
Hundreds of spectators along with the governor of KP and military officials from the Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) witnessed the match at the Younas Khan stadium.
While the guests were able to make 120 runs in 20 overs, an excellent innings by Shahid Afridi earlier had helped Pakistan XI score a total of 254 runs against UK Media XI.
Winning the match by 133 runs, Pakistan XI starred Inzamam ul Haq, Younis Khan, Shahid Afridi, Junaid Khan, Kamran Akmal, Wajahatullah Wasti, Riaz Afridi, Umer Gul, and Mushtaq Ahmed.
