Blast at cosmetics factory in Karachi leaves one dead
The blast occurred in a cosmetics factory located at Shahrah-e-Faisal.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – One person was on Wednesday killed in a blast that occurred at a cosmetics factory located near a school at Shahrah-e-Faisal in Karachi, and the dead body has been recovered from the wreck.
Fire erupted at the factory after the horrible incident, and its walls collapsed. People came out of their homes and offices in horror, and the school was evacuated. The children told that they were in their classes when the explosion happened.
Police, Rangers and rescue teams reached the spot to help the victims, and fire tenders doused the blaze. Bomb disposal squad was summoned to figure out the nature of the explosion.
According to the police, the blast took place in the chemicals that were placed in the godown, and there is no terrorist involvement in the incident.
The intensity of the outburst was so high that it damaged the adjacent buildings as well as the school, and broke their glasses.
