No 'Phateechar' player in World XI squad: Ahsan Iqbal

Interior Minister welcomed World XI squad and said that this is a historic moment for the country
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Monday said that he doesn’t agree with those who say that we don’t have to work to make this country better, reported Dunya News.
Ahsan Iqbal talked to the media after visiting the Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi. On a question about Nawaz Sharif’s alleged meeting with Mutahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-London) leaders, Iqbal said that Nawaz Sharif went to London to meet his ailing wife. “He didn’t go there to do politics,” he said.
While talking about the upcoming World XI tour in Lahore, Iqbal welcomed World XI squad’s arrival in Lahore. “Cricket is being restored in the country after 10 years which is a great moment in our history,” he said.
He said that World XI tour is not a matter of doing politics. “Matches are being held in Lahore, because ICC gave the approval for Lahore,” he asserted.
He said that one of the politicians thinks that everything is going wrong in Pakistan. Referring to Imran Khan’s earlier remarks on Peshawar Zalmi’s foreign players, Iqbal said that the World XI squad doesn’t have any ‘phateechar’ players; all of them are top class.
Interior Minister further said that more electricity will be pumped in the system by the start of next year. “If we are able to control the short fall, we will be able to increase our exports,” he said.
