Imran asks PM Nawaz to resign following JIT report

Sharif family has been looting the country for the past 30 years: Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Soon after the submission of joint investigation team s (JIT) report in the Supreme Court, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has demanded that  PM Nawaz Sharif should immediately resign as the prime minister of Pakistan.

He let it be known while addressing a press conference following the probe committee report in Supreme Court.

PTI Chairman professed on the occasion that Nawaz Sharif should have resigned on moral grounds after the two judges of the Suprme Court had ruled that the premier was no more eligible to hold public office.

Imran expressed that the party s reservations proved to be true, adding that the Sharif family has been continously looting the country for the past 30 years.

He went on to say that the negative role of certain institutions such as Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has also been exposed in the report.

PTI Chief accused that the government tried whatever it took to obstruct the investigation process and also discredited the state institutions in the process.

Imran expressed on the occcasion that he is grateful as truth has prevailed at the end and that truth has come out finally.

Imran was also of the opinion that since the JIT report has proven Maryam Nawaz is the owner of the Mayfair flats, it clearly reveals that her father had laundered the money in her name.

PTI Chief accused that the ruling party have used ministers, institutions and all other government resources in order to protect themselves.
