At least 25 Kashmiris killed, 200 wounded in Ramazan: FO
The FO spokesperson denied link of the two slain Chinese nationals in Quetta with CPEC
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Foreign Office (FO) has reported on Thursday that Indian-backed troops in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir claimed 25 lives during Ramazan while over 200 were wounded.
Spokesperson for the office, Nafees Zakaria said that Pakistan strongly condemns brutality demonstrated in the held-valley by aggressive forces.
In his weekly briefing, Zakaria said that the troops vandalized properties including shops in the valley after the locals celebrated Pakistan made it through to Champions Trophy 2017 final.
While talking about Afghanistan, the spokesperson held growth of Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in Afghanistan a serious issue and called for the neighbouring government to cooperate to counter the regional threats.
Zakaria thanked Russian leader Vladimir Putin for showing his concern towards tensions between Pakistan and India and attempting to play mediator to diffuse the situation.
The FO spokesperson further denied link of the two slain Chinese nationals in Quetta with China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Zakaria said that the authorities were in contact with Chinese government regarding the issue.
