UAE embassy terms news of visa restrictions fake, demands stern action

There are no visa bans on any category of Pakistani applicants.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News)- Embassy of United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Friday has rubbished news circulating about visa restrictions for the national of Pakistan.

UAE’s embassy, in a message to Pakistan’s foreign office, termed these news fake and part of baseless propaganda.

“There are no visa bans on any category of Pakistani applicants. This news is being spread from Pakistan and needs to be investigated,” the message read.

“Those spreading false rumours should be dealt with swiftly,” the embassy advised Islamabad.

It is pertinent here to mention that some media outlets, in the past few days, incessantly reported that Dubai government had ended 90-day visit visa for the nationals of Pakistan and Philippines.

The online publisher, uaeviral.com, quoted a manager of a travel agency: “We are not sure wether this is a temporary or permanent stop. As of now we have been instructed not to accept applications. There is a possibility that we process the applications through an other Emirate but will definitely have higher restrictions and would be more costly.”
