Nawaz Sharif approved budget recommendations and Shanghai Cooperation Organisation membership

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif chaired cabinet meeting Friday on Budget 2017-18 where he approved the budget recommendations as well as Pakistan’s membership for Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).

Also, PM gave formal approval for the amendment of Private Power and Infrastructure Board (PPIB) Act 2010. He authenticated the decisions made by Cabinet Committee on Economic Coordination and Cabinet Committee on Energy.

Cabinet members paid emphasis on the 12-point agenda. PM Nawaz took state ministers into confidence with respect to the economic policies. He approved the Budget 2017-18 recommendations.

Earlier, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar briefed the cabinet meeting on certain budget recommendations as well as on the Economic Survey 2017-18. Cabinet members informed the state minister of their suggestions. Moreover, PM said his government would present an unprecedented Rs. 1 trillion development budget for 2018-19, as it sincerely believed in serving the masses selflessly.

Chairing a meeting of the Parliamentary Party of PML(N), the Prime Minister said despite the huge problems that his government inherited in 2013, Pakistan was stronger and more stable today.

“We are accountable to the people of Pakistan and they will decide as to who delivered and who did not,” Nawaz Sharif told the parliamentarians.
