Rival lawyer groups clash over PM Nawaz's resignation demand

The lawyers' convention was jointly organized by Lahore High Court and Supreme Court (SC).

LAHORE (Dunya News) – A ruckus broke out between two groups in lawyers’ convention at Lahore High Court Bar over the matter of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s resignation.

One group was in favor of PM’s resignation, and the other was against it. Both parties started raising slogans against each other and situation got intense.

Serious chaos was witnessed at Lahore High Court Bar when lawyers threw chairs and broke the glasses of the hall.

The situation came under control after the police took charge of the place. Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) President Ch Zulfiqar Ali termed the incident regrettable.

It is worth mentioning here that the lawyers’ convention was jointly organized by Lahore High Court and Supreme Court (SC).
