Mardan: CD market destroyed after bomb blast

Unidentified terrorists planted a bomb in CD market in Mardan. The explosion destroyed 10 shops in the market. Accoding to the police the terrorists blew up the market via explosive materials near the residence of former Federal Minster Muhammad Khawaja Khan Jataoi.

The explosion occurred at 7:40 in the morning. The shutters and the glass windows of the shops were destroyed along with damages in millions. A three foot crater was formed at the place of the explosion. No casualties were reported as all the shops were closed.According to the police, 10 to 12 kilogram bomb was used in the explosion. The sound of the explosion was heard for miles and as a result the residents came out of their houses. People started gathering at the scene on the explosion.The police have surrounded the area have started a search operation. The police have also registered a case against the unidentified terrorists.
