COAS visits Chaman firing injured in Quetta CMH

During Quetta visit, General Qamar Javed Bajwa admired army's efforts to restore peace

QUETTA (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa appreciated efforts of Pakistan Army to restore peace in the country. He visited those injured in Chaman Border firing by Afghan forces and overviewed their medical treatment at Quetta CMH.

Army Chief was received by Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Aamer Riaz in the presence of Training and Evaluation IG Lieutenant General Hidayat-ur-Rehman. He visited various military installations at Quetta garrison.

He delivered the annual address to students of Command and Staff College before interacting with young officers undergoing various courses at School of Infantry and Tactics.

While talking about the internal and external security situation, Gen Bajwa appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Army in bringing peace to the country. He lauded army’s active role in conducting operations for stability.

COAS then visited Quetta CMH to meet injured civilians and security officers of Chaman Border unprovoked firing by Afghan forces.
