Ten terrorists killed, three soldiers martyred in D.G Khan operation
The officers assured to continue operation against terrorists who were involved in heinous crimes.
DERA GHAZI KHAN (Dunya New) – At least ten terrorists were killed while three Rangers officers embraced martyrdom in a joint operation in Dera Ghazi Khan today (Friday).
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Punjab Rangers, Intelligence Agencies and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted a raid in Basti Dadwani near Choti Zerin against militants.
During an exchange of firing, security forces killed ten terrorists including Muhammad Asghar Dadwani alias Ustad Gorchani and Muhammad Naeem aka Waqas Dadwani.
Three Rangers officers identified as Havaldar Asif, Sepoy Aftab and Sepoy Azizullah also lost their lives while two others sustained severe wounds who have been shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Multan by army helicopter.
The operation is still continuing to flush the area of terrorists who were involved in heinous crimes, ransom and terrorist activities.
Pakistan Army launched anti-terrorist offensive following a surge in recent terror attacks in the country, the latest being the Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s shrine suicide attack that claimed the lives of more than 100 people.
According to the Army, the operation aims at indiscriminately eliminating residual and latent threat of terrorism, consolidating gains of operations made thus far and further ensuring security of the borders.
