Blocking ID cards of Pakhtoons: ANP's strike outside Parliament continues

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The hunger strike of lawmakers from Awami National Party that was launched outside the parliament house on Wednesday also continued on its second day.

It is pertinent to mention that Awami National Party has objected to government’s step of blocking Computerised National Identity Cards of Pakhtoons.

ANP also warned the government to face an intense reaction in this regard.

ANP leader Ghulam Ahmad Bilour let it be known at the occasion that we don’t want any kind of quarrel with the government, however if the ID cards were not activated, the next phase of demonstration would be very intense.

Different political leaders from various other parties visited the hunger strike in order to express solidarity with ANP.

At the occasion, former chief minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti expressed that anybody who joins us will be welcomed.
