Courts bars authorities from declaring Sharjeel Memon proclaimed offender

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Accountability Court has barred authorities from declaring former provincial minister Sharjeel Memon as proclaimed offender in corruption cases worth five billion and 77 crore rupees.

According to detail, Memon went to the court despite being ill during which the court adjourned the hearing till May 6.

Earlier, Sindh High Court (SHC) approved interim bail of Sharjeel Memon in two cases over surety bonds of Rs 20 lac each.

Sharjeel Memon had said that reference was made in his absence whereas some politicians are declaring the matter as deal.

He further criticized Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar and said that he has taken Exit Control List (ECL) as his property.
