Taseer murder case: Mumtaz Qadris trial to be held today
Trial of Mumtaz Qadri in the murder case of former Punjab Governor Salman Taseer would be held in Adiala Jail today. The federal police presented the challan of the murder case of former Punjab governor Salmaan Taseer after recording 17 comparative statements into Anti-Terrorism Court in Rawalpindi. In the challan, statements of six witnesses, belonging to the Elite Force, were recorded. Police have also recorded statements of Qari Hanif and Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah, reportedly they speech instigated Qadri to kill Governor Punjab Salman Taseer. Both in their statements said that they didnt know Mumtaz Qadri personally and they never instigated anybody to kill Salman Taseer. According to Police, decision of the case is expected if the accused makes confession.
