Radd-ul-Fasaad: Army, Rangers establish checkpoints on motorway

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), combined check posts of Pakistan Army, Punjab Rangers and police have been erected on motorway M1 and M2 in context of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.

According to details, more than 350 suspicious persons have been arrested so far from different cities in the operation which is going on with full strength.
15 suspects have been detained by security forces from Rawalpindi in a combing operation and more than 215 were arrested from Lahore, Kasur, Pindi Bhattian, Vehari, Kundian, Dera Ghazi Khan and Layyah.
35 suspicious people were arrested from Charsadda including seven Afghans. As per details, the operation was conducted in Charsadda’s area Umarzai. Four Kalashnikovs, two kalakovs and pistols were recovered from them.
Police searched 46 homes in Hangu and 45 suspects were detained from there as well. Likewise, search operation was conducted in Faisalabad and biometric verification of 255 suspicious persons including Afghans was done.
Police and intelligence agencies arrested 25 persons from Khanewal and three from Chenab Nagar. Weapons were recovered from them as well and biometric verification of more than 300 persons was completed.
Rangers and police besieged Sukkur railway station on a tip-off and searched Quetta Express to find suspicious Afghans. 12 foreigners were arrested from Karachi’s Ittehad Town and Saeedabad by police in search operation.
Weapons and ammunitions in large quantity were recovered from North Waziristan and Datta Khel. Rangers have also issued contact numbers to inform about doubtful activities.
