Four protesters injured in police baton charge in Bhimber sector
Security officers told that the locals were protesting against Shamlat lands.
BHIMBER (Dunya News) – At least four protesters sustained injuries in a police baton charge in Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s Bhimber area today (Saturday).
According to details, the activists tried to stop AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider’s caravan at Bab-e-Kashmir Bridge that was en route to industrial area for participating in a ceremony.
Police officers clashed with the protesters and resorted to shelling and baton charge, injuring four of them.
However, the premier crossed the area safely.
Security officers told that the locals were protesting against Shamlat lands whereas they also had negotiation with deputy commission and SP Bhimber that went unsuccessful.
