Balochistan High Court has granted bail to Shahzain Bugti, provincial president of Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP), along with his 26 guards, Dunya News reported on Monday. Speaking to newsmen after the hearing, Bugtis Counsel W. N. Kohli said that court, accepting his arguments, approved bail plea of the JWP leader and his 26 accomplices against surety bond of Rs.500, 000 each. On Dec 22, 2010, the Frontier Corps (FC) arrested Shahzain Bugti along with his 26 guards at the Buleli checkpost and recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition from his motorcade. Shahzain was returning from Chaman, a border town with Afghanistan, after offering fateha for the late Jilani Khan, an ANP leader, when his motorcade was stopped for identification and search, which Shahzain reportedly refused.
