At least 17 people were killed and several others sustained injuries when suicide bombers rammed their explosive-laden car into the front wall of Miryan police station in Bannu on Wednesday evening, Dunya News reported. The blast was so powerful that the police station and a nearby mosque were completely destroyed, killing 17 people on the spot. Emergency was imposed in district headquarters hospital Bannu where the injured were being shifted. Security forces cordoned off the area after the blast.
