Beggars mafia actively working in Islamabad

Children are made to beg on the roads of federal capital by burning their body parts
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – An old beggar told Dunya News how the beggars mafia pretends partially paralyzed to extract money from pockets of residents.
It was revealed that crushed garlic is tied up to make strong acid which burns the outer skin of body parts. In this way, beggars appear helpless and make people pour out money for their supposed cure.
Beggars mafia takes disguise of paralyzed and mentally upset people so that they get charity. They become so used to begging that they don’t pursue a respectable labor.
The bigger mistreatment is done with little kids. Their body parts are burnt so that they can beg for money on main roads and traffic signals. However, beggars play a few tricks by putting on fake injuries also.
These beggars live in slums where they are trained to plead for monetary help. Women often carry drugged kids to look miserable. Surprisingly, it was told that most of these kids are ‘rented’.
Kids are considered an effective tool by beggars, especially women beggars. They fight with each other on who’ll take the baby. The mafia generally makes kids, women, paralyzed people and old men to beg and collect money.
These beggars can earn up to three thousand rupees a day while the average income is 1-2 thousand rupees.
This beggar mafia is actively played its part in most junctions, markets, traffic signals and roads of the federal capital. The administration is doing nothing to prevent them while these beggars are not even difficult to locate. The police and administration are acting blind and deaf at their actions.
