Maryam Nawaz's lawyer continues arguments in Panama Leaks case

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Maryam Nawaz’s lawyer Shahid Hamid on Thursday has continued arguments in Supreme Court (SC).

A five-member larger bench headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa resumed the hearing of Panama Leaks case. Other judges in the bench include Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, Justice Gulzar Ahmed, Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan.

Shahid Hamid told the court that his client responded to the allegations in her interview. He said that married woman cannot come under the definition of dependant.

Earlier, SC had sought script of Maryam Nawaz’s television interview which she gave in 2012.

The counsel said that as per Trust Deed, Hussain Nawaz made Maryam Nawaz trusty of Nescol and Nelson companies for the distribution of property over which Justice Ijaz expressed resentment and said that there is no uniformity in your written reply.

Justice Khosa said that Maryam Nawaz signed Trust Deed in 2006 then how can she said that she is not having any possessions abroad.
