Releasing old documents seems to be pressure tactic: Salman Ghani
Senior analyst thinks release of old documents already submitted in court seems like pressure tactic
LAHORE: (Daily Dunya) – Senior analyst and reporter Salman Ghani has on Tuesday said that releasing old documents that had already been made public in the past and were already submitted in the court seemed like a pressure tactic.
In his analysis on Daily Dunya, Salman Ghani said that the documents that were being released and re-released every few days despite the fact that they had already been submitted before the court seemed like an attempt to bring the court under pressure.
“It seems that though the court is going to decide the case as per merit but the ruling Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are actually fighting the case politically instead of seriously fighting it legally in the court”.
He added that the court might take some more days to decide on the case but the political tug of war between the two parties was getting dirtier and dirtier each passing day with the slurs that the two hurl at each other on daily basis.

Bastian Obermayer, a member of ICIJ, also said in one of his tweets that the documents weren t new and the purpose behind releasing them was to make them public.
We re not on either side in case of Sharif Family #panamapapers & didn t say the docs are "new". But we believe key docs should be public.
