Turkey releases six abducted Pakistanis after legal paper work

ISTANBUL (Dunya News) – As many as six Pakistani nationals who were recovered by Turkish police have been released after legal paper work.

According to details, two immigrants have been handed over to Pakistani embassy in Istanbul whereas other four will contact the authorities today.

Spokesman to Foreign Office Nafees Zakariya said that Turkish officials are now completing the legal formalities to deal with the case. The Consulate officials are in contact with the police authorities and have sought access to the rescued Pakistanis.

On the other hand, video of another four Pakistanis kidnapped in Turkey has been unearthed. The footage obtained by a private television channel showed four Pakistanis being subjected to brutal torture.

The kidnappers demanded Rs8 million for the release of the people or else they would be killed. They also directed the bereaved families to pay the money in Peshawar.

The victims included Sara-i-Alamgir’s Abdul Qudoos, Imran, Shani and one resident of Mandi Bahauddin.
