At least 17 lives lost across Punjab in road accidents

A passenger van collided with a coach owing to dense fog leaving 15 persons injured in Kamalia

JHELUM (Dunya News) – At least 17 persons have lost their lives in different road accidents in three cities of the province on Sunday.

A passenger van and a car collided on Chakwal Road near Sohawa, a Tehsil of Jhelum claiming 13 lives while 15 were wounded in the accident. All the injured including women and childrenn were shifted to a hospital in Gujjar Khan.

Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and instructed for the best medical treatment to the wounded. Shehbaz Sharif has also ordered authorities concerned to file a report.

Separately, a trailer drove into a bus near Yousaf Wala on National Highway in Sahiwal claiming four lives while the accident left 25 wounded. Reportedly, eight of the wounded are critical.
