Sindh assembly discusses 'properly distilling wine'

Ghulam Chandio asked if there was a formula to turn unprepared wine into properly distilled wine
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Sindh Assembly was on Thursday discussing the formula to turn unprepared wine into properly distilled wine. Ghulam Qadir Chandio was the legislator who took up this matter with the speaker in the provincial assembly, reported Dunya News.
Sindh Assembly speaker Agha Siraj Durrani has no parallels when it comes to sense of humour. As the issue of wine was raised in the house, an interesting conversation between the speaker and the members of the assembly ensued.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) member Said ud-Din Khalid told Mukesh Kumar Chavla that excise officials would let go of any car after receiving petty bribes.
When Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member Khurram Sher Zaman asked if excise department had the dogs who could sniff the drugs, Agha Siraj Durrani said that excise officials could do the sniffing themselves.
Sindh Assembly also passed the bill regarding forced religion conversions. According to the bill, forced conversion or facilitating the forced conversion would result into five years of imprisonment. An adult will be given 21 days to ponder over his conversion from one religion into another.
