16 killed as dense smog leads to huge pile-up at Sukhekhi Interchange
The mishap took place due to dense smog near Sukhekhi that dropped the visibility.
SUKHEKHI (Dunya News) – At least 16 people were killed whereas more than 30 sustained severe wounds as cars rammed into each other at Sukhekhi Interchange today (Thursday).
According to initial details, dense smog near Sukhekhi area dropped the visibility to zero resulting in collision between 12 cars.
Getting information about the incident, rescue and police personnel arrived at the scene and shifted the injured to Pindi Bhattian Hospital.
Governor Punjab Malik Muhammad Rafiaque Rejwana and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif have expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious human lives in the road accidents near Pindi Bhattian.
Separately in Faisalabad, crash between cars left two passengers dead and five people injured.
The victims were shifted to the Allied Hospital for further medical assistance.
